Health is Wealth.Vitamin B12 injections, mania of the moment: do they really work?

Vitamin B12 shots have become something of a celebrity fad with proponents claiming that the supplement boost up energy levels, reduces stress, aids weight loss and helps keep skin and hair healthy.

Celebrities like Madonna, Victoria Beckham, Kath Perry, Justin Timberlake and Lindsay Lohan has long been extolling the virtues of B12 injections. Victoria Beckham even swore by B12 for keeping her in top shape during her pregnancy.  Hmmm......

Confused by what’s going on in the above picture? Please don’t be. It’s just Rita Ora (our UK Rihanna) and her friend, Emily Rose, getting shots of B12 in their bottoms.

What does vitamin B12 do?

Vitamin B12 is vital for healthy functioning of the brain and nervous system, and for the formation of blood. Your body uses B12 for metabolism, fatty acid synthesis and energy production.

B12 deficiency is a cause of anaemia. Typical symptoms include fatigue, lethargy, faintness, breathlessness, headache, tinnitus, a yellow tinge to the skin, mouth ulcers and …….
The bottom line is: If you don't have a B12 deficiency, you don't need a supplement. There isn’t much evidence to back up the celebrity fad for B12 injections. The fact of the matter is that every Tom, Dick, and Harry want to be forever young while they are not getting any younger.  Not only is that irony of life but when we are young and healthy, it never occurs to us that in a single second our whole life could change. I am sure my fellow Nigerian “Celebrity” would have try this Vitamin B12 of a thing.  "wink"

I want to leave forever; do you really want to leave forever, forever?
