Woman allegedly left stuck on the plane lavatory as aircraft takes off

A female in her 20s was forced to stay inside a British Airways airplane toilet during take off.
An aeroplane toilet can have an unfriendly odour at the best of times, so it is the last place you would want to find yourself trapped come take-off. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to one female passenger yesterday.

The woman had left her seat to use on- board lavatory on the plane because she felt sick before the flight had taken off.  She was only noticed by cabin crew as she attempted to leave the toilet.

According to the report, the crew ‘screamed’ at the woman to get back inside, as it was too dangerous for her to make her way back to her seat. She was only allowed to leave the toilet after the plane had ascended and the seatbelt signs had been switched off.

Witnesses claimed that staff didn't notice the woman was missing from her seat in the rush to take off from Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam because the flight was running half an hour late.
